Day 9

Stuart is in Germany. He sounds exhausted and I think we are both looking forward to him getting on a schedule. Tyler has been posting pics on Facebook which is awesome... so y'all can check them out there.  They are going out to eat and then trying to catch up on sleep before returning to Afghanistan.

We attempted a little shopping trip this morning to Home Depot. Jackson insisted on wearing his goggles.

Go figure, they didn't have a rug that I liked there. We picked up a few light bulbs and were out the door.  Of course Hadley Anne just had to blow out her diaper... so while changing her in the back of the car Jackson downed an entire King Size package of Reeses Cups without me knowing. There went his lunch...  A little trip through the Chick Fil A drive thru for me and we were headed home. We never know when to expect to hear from Stuart - and its always the best timing, not. Today, it happened to be while J was throwing a massive meltdown in the backseat on the way home. Apparently he was ready for his nap.  I was somehow able to talk to Stu for a few minutes, breakdown and all.  He always catches me at exactly the wrong time. 

I feel so disconnected from Stuart right now. I can't imagine what its like for him and I think thats just making it worse. I have no idea what its like over there and what he's been going through.  He's never been one to enjoy talking on the phone and I always feel like him calling me is a burden. I know he misses and loves us more than anything... but things are just a little off right now. I hope it gets better real soon.

We're supposed to have a play date tomorrow. I hope Jackson starts feeling better or thats not going to happen.  He has a croupy cough and a snotty nose... but no fever, yet.  I just pray that he doesn't get Miss Hadley sick.  She has already been fussy enough and in one of her moods today.  She woke up twice last night =\

The kids are sleeping so I suppose I might try and nap myself. I'll try and take more pics later!
