Day 11

My least favorite part is the waiting game. Its been 24 hours since we've heard from him. He should be on his way back to Bagram. If all goes as planned he should be arriving soon...

Typical manic monday here. We had the best of intentions to get some errands done today.  Bank, post office and Kroger. Happy Veteran's Day - the bank and post office surely didn't happen.  Hadley is either getting sick or growing and took a 3 hour nap this morning - our typical time to run our errands!  We attempted Kroger when she woke up but somehow I managed to forget my wallet, again.  Take 2. Only a few bruises later (from Jackson ramming his cart into the back of my feet and legs) and not too many items forgotten, we made it home just in time for Jackson to nap.

We Bertschs love pizza. There was a super good deal on early week takeout pizzas when we first moved here and it sort of became a weekly tradition.  Time to reinstate that this week... with extra leftovers for Jackson and I to devour for breakfast =)  Our groceries can wait til tomorrow.

Jackson helped me "clean" today. ha. More like rearrange our mess. He was happy to find his helmet during the process.

Fast forward a few hours... and no pizza =(  After 90 minutes of waiting on the delivery I called to check on the order. Apparently their computer crashed and they had "no way of contacting me". You've got to be kidding me. I had tried ordering online which didn't work, so I thought surely calling and ordering would be the real deal. One cranky baby, starving toddler, and super upset mom later here we are - cooking a frozen pizza. As soon as it comes out of the oven I will serve jackson and take Hadley upstairs for bath and bed. Im used to eating cold food, but tonight there are no words. Tomorrow will be better. Sigh. Still no word from Stu.
