Its 1030. We just got home. Both kids are finally asleep. Whew, this is hard. We were invited to the Festival of Lights tonight by Courtney and Daniel. Daniel works with Stu (when he's not in Afghanistan of course!) They have 2 beautiful and very well mannered children, Clayton and Caroline. I knew perhaps it wasn't the best idea after our nanny told me Jackson was misbehaving today. Oh well. It was pretty much a disaster by my standards. He wasn't friendly, and in fact - he was just mean. From hitting, to not sharing his Goldfish, to the multiple tantrums he threw. I even gave in and bought him this 9 dollar lighted sword thing. Well, once we finally got back to the car, he whacked me over the head with it - and it broke. Ouch. Then the top part with the strobe lights wouldn't cut off, and it landed in the floor, so the entire ride home I thought the po po was after me. Since Hadley stayed at Karissas house, I had to drive unfamiliar territory, and I got lost. Of course. Oh, what a night. Hadley has been fussy all day too. Im just going to go ahead and accept the fact that I probably won't get much sleep tonight.
Im hoping maybe we can have a do over of the Festival of Lights, lol. So I can actually pretend to enjoy it. Maybe with some familiar faces he might do better... yup - talking to you Jody and Regina!!
Here are the pics from Festival of Lights. Not nearly as good of quality as I would like...
And here are some photos of hadley, courtesy of Karissa
I will be in a better mood tomorrow. Promise.
