Day 35

This is getting old. I miss Stu. I hate having to do everything by myself. I miss all the little things he used to do. I fussed so much about him not helping me... but dang he really did a lot.

Yesterday it was 63 degrees. This morning it was in the 50s and raining. Currently its 39 degrees and we're under a winter storm warning.  Freezing rain, sleet, ice accumulations and then 4-7 inches of snow. Awesome.  Luckily, I was told not to worry about coming to work tomorrow. We actually were able to reschedule all of the patients.  The other Drs will come in (if they can make it) for those patients who really need them. For this, I am grateful.

I still spent my lunch break trying to find those things to put behind your car tires. You see, our garage is a mess. An organized mess.  The jeep fits nicely, but poor Stus car just doesn't make the cut.  My neighbors car slid down their driveway one year, so I certainly didn't want that happening. Not that I care about Stus car, but definitely don't want it damaging anything else! So, Lowes was a failure. No one wanted to help me, or offer other suggestions. Home Depot, even bigger failure. I even asked if someone could get me some wood blocks or something - nope. No one even offered any advice. I even played the my husband is deployed card. Didn't work. I left angry, and without anything for my car! Ugh. Atleast Stu had already hooked me up with salt for the driveway. Pretty sure that was on one of the many pre-deployment checklists, lol. The driveway is now salted, and by some miracle I was able to shift things around to get his car in the garage. Even more importantly, I successfully (after one small almost incident) backed the Jeep in the garage. I am very proud of myself.

Now, for the exciting news - I won't have to worry about difficulty backing up in the near future.... Stu bought us a new car!!!!! We are finally going to own a car with automatic locks and even a backup camera! Praise Jesus! We debated between the Explorer and Durango. While I felt more comfortable driving the explorer, the Durango was really much nicer. I think we will be pleasantly surprised with the final product. He gets super good deals over there and we got to custom order! Its definitely not top of the line... but much nicer than what we are used to driving!

I didn't take any pictures again today. I can barely think straight after being on call, Hadley still waking up at night, Jackson sleeping in my bed, and working. Luckily, Karissa did! Here ya go...

Hadley is trying out the cup

And chewing on anything she can...

J watching his new favorite show, Paw patrols

Hadleys reaction to yogurt melts

Typical dinner craziness around here....

Back in Bagram...

Stu looks so much better these days!

His days continue to be spent working out, hanging out, and eating. lol.
