Day 135

I have been a major slacker when it comes to the blog. So, today, I will start early.  Speaking of early, 615 is when Hadley Anne decided to wake up this morning. I was so not ready for it either. All I wanted to do was crawl back under the covers and sleep. Then, it dawned on me. In just a few (ok maybe 6) weeks I will be able to do just that! Hallelujah. Stuart will be here before I know it. He owes me big time. He better enjoy his sleep now lol.

J woke up shortly after, around 7. Both kids were cranky. Maybe because Grandma went home? Who knows? H was so fussy that I even resorted to giving her tylenol.  Maybe some more teeth are coming? She wasn't even interested in her breakfast. Humph. J wasn't either. It was going to be that kind of day.

Finally, I was able to get H to take a nap. I had big plans for us to go to Kroger when she woke up. I finished watching Catching Fire (because Im such an old woman I can't stay up late anymore) and she was still sleeping. Well friends, its been 3 hours and the girl is still sleeping. Maybe she's going through a growth spurt? I pray she's not getting sick. So, now its lunch time and we need to go to Kroger. Awesome.

Fast forward a few hours.... and we survived Kroger, thanks to Regina for watching J. Both kids took a long afternoon nap, apparently all is well in the world - they just needed to catch up on some sleep. We spent the afternoon outside and had dinner with the Melvins. Interesting tidbit from dinner - we thought that one of the neighbors brush was on fire and called 911 lol. It literally blew up out of nowhere and was super scary.... but ended up being under control after all. Pretty sure the firemen told them to put it out because it was dead when they left - then was super big again. It is totally in the middle of a huge wooded area - which includes my property - scary!

In Bagram - the internet SUCKS. Totally. I'm pretty sick of it.

These are a few excerpts from my emails in the last 48 hours:

"Hey Babe, Don't know if you're busy or not, I know you always are but if you want to try and get on gmail I will probably be on the govt computer for awhile. The regular internet is being awful. At least we could message that way. Love you."

"So I finished dinner and came to the AEOT and now I can't connect to the internet again! GRRRRRRR this is getting frustrating. Oh well. Hopefully it will be better later on. "

"I just wanted to tell you that I am alive! I am sure you are worrying about me as always but thats ok. I just got into the AEOT. For some reason I still don't have internet access and if this continues I am going to debate paying for the afghan internet so I have something to communicate with you when I am in my room."

OVER IT.
