Day 151

The kids and I ventured to the "orange store" aka Home Depot this morning to buy a new fridge. It was easier than I expected and the fridge is set to be here tomorrow! Yay!

I spent the afternoon/evening at opening day with my friends Liz and Katie! It was Liz's birthday and her husband is also deployed. She is a cardinals fan - and they pulled off a win today over the reds! The weather couldn't have been better. Such a fun time!!

They were not excited to take a picture with me, however they made me feel like Stu was there....

Stuart continues to read, watch tv, workout and do practice oral exams with his buds getting ready to take part 2 of the anesthesia boards next week.

Thats all folks!

Day 149

We had a super busy day! Sounds like Daddy did too (more to come...)

It rained a lot. There is a river flowing through the back yard. It even started snowing a little tonight - yuck. Thank goodness it will be 67 by Monday =)

The kids enjoyed a lazy morning

J was nice enough to share with H

Chewing on her favorite toy

Justin turned 8 today! (Please excuse the fact that these pictures are not in chronological order) We enjoyed meeting his cousins and grandparents as well as a delicious lunch!

I love the faces he makes!

Jackson loved the cake!

He's silly.

Cutie

Happy Birthday, Justin! We're so lucky to have you as our friend!

After the party it was much needed nap time for the kiddos. Afterwards we packed up and headed to Florence for dinner at Eleanas. J loved playing with Michael and Sam and all of their toys! We had a delicious dinner and made it home just in time for our bedtime routines.  So thankful for great friends helping us pass the time while Stu is gone. So blessed.

Speaking of Stu - didn't get to talk to him much today. I think (?) he slept in because he stayed up late watching Louisville lose (bummer). I didnt see much past the first 10 minutes. He was busy taking care of patients in the hospital and is currently in flight to Germany. Last I heard he was transporting 2 patients, 1 with a heart attack the other a pulmonary embolism.  He should be arriving there around 1am our time. No clue how long he will be staying.  Speaking of Germany, I think he has decided to come  home that route. Then again, I could be wrong lol.

Church and soccer on the schedule for tomorrow.  Night y'all.

She has mastered crawling under the gate...

Day 147

They keep me on my toes.

Just messing with my big bro

Im going to walk soon, ma!

In addition to sleeping in when Stu gets home, I think something else that I am very excited about is being able to shower and get ready in peace. lol. I never know what these two are capable of doing in just a few minutes time...

Ok, I was supervising this one. But she did manage to roll off the bed after the tub tonight. Right before J ran smack into his new chalkboard wall. Good thing he didn't bust a hole in it!

He insisted on carrying everything he could find in the closet drawers into my room via purse lol!

This is just a little bit of the aftermath. Do you see him lying on the suitcase? ha

And for your throwback thursday.....

Stu and I intern year

Churchill downs just after moving to Louisville

Back in Bagram Stu is still trying to decide which route he will be taking home.  They had a BBQ but he said all the food was dry. Then some of them had an eating contest lol. They are super bored.

Day 146

I'm frustrated. Looks like we may be one step closer to "a date" for Stus homecoming.  Earliest he can leave is April 25th.

  •  Option 1- If he leaves then (4/25), he will go to Al Udeid and wait there for a rotator flight home. Who knows when that would be?
  • Option 2- Go scheduled through Germany leaving May 4th and arriving in Cinci May 5th.

The real kicker here - he must in process at Wright Patt for 2 days after his arrival. One of these days MUST be a tues or thurs.  We are scheduled to leave for Jamaica May 10th. He MUST be home by May 7th in order for us to make our trip. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

He is trying to decide which option will be best. Pray that he makes the right decision and we can make our very much needed vacation!

In other news, it was another early morning and long day for me. Hospital rounds then clinic by myself. Since I was in such a bad mood, we ordered in for dinner. We played downstairs until dinner arrived. Please excuse the poor quality of these pics from my phone.

Daddy, come home and play soccer with me!

He insisted on fixing his "pizza shop". I love his imagination!

He thought Hadley might like a few golf balls from Daddys bag

Not sure who likes Little Einsteins more? I'm surprised she wasn't sitting closer to him!
