The first few days with Stu back were weird. Really weird. It was like he was a stranger living here. He didn't remember where anything went and just kept asking questions. He had absolutely no idea on earth what to do with Hadley. Boy, had she changed! All I could do was laugh and call him every silly name I could think of. Oh, to be a fly on our wall. Andrea says we are very funny together - I would imagine so. It is quite hilarious when you think about it.
He's a fast learner. He still asks me where things belong, but he's got Hadley figured out. We just wish she could talk more. She is saying a lot more and imitating everything! She just cries way too much when she doesn't get her way - total diva.
I went right back to work after he returned and he started on his honey do list. Let me tell you, its not short. A lot adds up over 6 months! Mom Bertsch was gracious enough to watch the kids and we were off to Jamaica. It was wonderful. A much needed break and so relaxing. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.
When we got back from Jamaica we took Jackson on a special trip - to Great Wolf Lodge. It was so much fun! He had a blast! He got scared and didn't want to sleep in his wolf den though and crashed on the couch. Hadley loved the water park too!
The rest of the days have been filled with the usual routine. Stu continues to fix things: the yard, deck, and make other home improvements. I work. He cooks. The kids cry. LOL. J is doing better with the potty, he pooped 3 times today! We have had birthday parties, Reds games, the pool opened - its so nice to enjoy the outdoors!
I got very sick over the weekend and had to miss my dear friend Beccas wedding =( I woke up the next day with a crazy rash that turned into horrible hives. I am a hot mess. The doctor thinks its all related to a food allergy. 30 years old and I develop a food allergy. I am trying to eliminate things and keep a food diary. I am just praying its not nuts - J will be lost without his nutter butters (aka Buddies). Time will tell I guess. The steroids have helped so much and the rash is finally gone - lets hope it doesn't return.
This weekend Hadley Anne turns 1! I can't believe it!
Here's a throwback to Js first birthday. They look so much alike!
Please continue to pray for us as we get back into the swing of things. Stu goes back to work next week...
Night y'all!
