Day 24

Had to get a pic with both of the boys before I headed home today....

Super long day of traveling. Got to meet Erica for lunch on the way... and then spent a little time at the mall while waiting on the kiddos. We survived (barely) and after they both slept in the car they were ready to play (or watch tv) when we got home.

Not sure why, but both my kids love to leave their mouths open.....

We are exhausted. Mama Compton has arrived safely.  More tomorrow...

Day 23

The kids are doing great. Yay! I mean, I knew they were in good hands, but this mama is always going to be a worrier! I slept from 11 until !!!! Whew, I feel like a new woman =)

The whole gang here face timed Stu last night and this morning and it was hilarious, to say the least.  I think Stu got to see a few things he wish he didn't, including Nics  butt. lol.  Apparently, the base had just been attacked - thank the lord no one was injured - so Stu was hiding out in the basement. Scary?! I guess there is nothing on his agenda for today... besides playing in a dodgeball tournament... ha.

Here's a few pics of precious William and Fynn...

Day 22- 3 weeks down!

Long day. 7.5 hour trip turned into 11.5 hours.  I hate traffic. That is all. So glad to be with my dear friends, just wish Stu were here.

Thankful to know that my babies are in good hands. More pics of them to come tomorrow!

Day 21

Its hard to accomplish anything around here when I work. Whew. Realized at bath time that I hadn't taken any pictures today... so here ya go...

In the background you will see Jacksons empty sticker chart (potty training isn't really happening) This was just a little bit before he pooped in the tub tonight.... =( I managed to find some rubber gloves to do a little bleach bath... god forbid I mess up my newly painted nails.

Heres an excerpt from Stus journal:

Day 18 A Whole Bunch of Nothing 11.18.13

This seems like a typical day for the better of the next months that we will be experiencing. A work out on waking up. Eating some food over the course of the day and playing a lot of games to bid our time. There arent any patients in the hospital currently which means we wont be flying for a while. Currently we are number 3 up to go which means it will be some time before our next mission unless there is something significant that occurs in that time frame. As the winter time approaches it will be interesting to see what happens with the fighting around the country. The internet is still sporadic and sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. If I know my wife correctly she will be even more frustrated with this because she will talk to me and then not talk to me and that makes it harder for her. It sometimes easier to be able to talk or not talk at all. I cant believe it has been 18 days since leaving but it has been. On one hand it seems like a long time and then on the other time has been flying by.

Headed to Atlanta tomorrow! Pray for smooth travels and that Hadley takes to Christy =) And as always, Stus safety.

Day 20

Short and sweet. I'm tired. I pretended to be normal today... got to have dinner with a friend after work and then I got my nails done =)  Came home to 2 sleeping children... we'll see how long that lasts...

H was up at 5... yikes... and ended up in my bed (Do as I say, not as I do....) and J joined her at 6.... awful picture but it was dark and you get the drift. And yes, thats both kids on MY pillow... we snuggle close.

The next pics my nanny took. Looks like H is ready to give it back to him... go girl!

Stu had yet another lazy day.... he went shopping at the bazaar and even studied a little. I think they helped get a patient ready for transport for another team...  Who knows whats in store for him tomorrow.

Day 19

Stu is fine. In fact, he seems to be doing better than me. Hanging out, playing video games, and having a shrimp boil for dinner.  Cranky baby, cranky toddler, and cranky mama. Very much looking forward to this weekend. Need a break. Some kind of bad.

Its pretty much impossible to pack around Jackson because he has way too much fun with bags and suitcases. Ha.

Here are todays photos.

Day 18

Manic monday here. The kids "slept in" until 6. We were able to get our day started with Kroger (gas and groceries) and a yummy McDonalds breakfast all before 830! We came home to re-group, let Hadley nap and then we were back at it. Next up was the Post Office to mail Stu another package and "the haircut store" for J a haircut.  Whew. We had leftovers for lunch and then somehow I managed to get both kids to nap at the same time. Time for me to catch up on laundry and cleaning. Must find cleaning lady soon.

Stuarts internet still sucks. Apparently "personal use" internet isn't working... so he can use the government computers and most websites are restricted. We can email back and forth, but its really annoying. Sigh.

Here are the kiddos this morning.

Mary gave me a bunch of easy and quick recipes. Parmesan chicken - check! And tonight, Taco soup!   Since I knew J wouldn't eat it I invited my neighbors over... I must say I'm a little impressed with myself and Stu would be proud =) Speaking of Stu...

He was able to get on the internet for a little bit earlier. We were texting back and forth... until 530 and he stopped responding. No email either. I'm mad. I don't know if this is because his internet just sucks all around, he just forgot about us, he fell asleep, he's on another mission, he got bombed.... who in the heck knows... and I do not like it.... one bit. Its now 815 and Im really trying not to worry, but its not working very well. Pray for us.
